PMWC 2018 Michigan
Luminary & Pioneer Awards
The PMWC Luminary Award recognizes recent contributions of preeminent figures who have accelerated personalized medicine into the clinical marketplace. The PMWC Pioneer Award is given to rare individuals who presaged the advent of personalized medicine when less evolved technology and encouragement from peers existed, but still made major advances in the field.
This year, PMWC 2018 Michigan Luminary Award will be honoring Dr. Eric Topol who pioneered genetics and genomics in cardiovascular medicine and led the era of wireless medicine, and Dr. Susan Murphy for developing innovative data science methods to improve patient care through mobile health in chronic disease. For the Pioneer Award, PMWC 2018 Michigan will be recognizing Dr. Michael Boehnke for pioneering large-scale studies identifying genetic risk in diabetes and Bipolar Disorder.
