Biography

Marcel Dinger is the Founding CEO of Genome.One. He also holds a faculty position at the Garvan Institute of Medical Research and is a conjoint Associate Professor at UNSW Sydney. He was awarded his PhD in 2003 from the University of Waikato in New Zealand. In his academic career at the University of Queensland and at the Garvan Institute, he has published >90 papers on genomics and bioinformatics attracting more than 12,000 citations. Prior to Genome.One, Marcel was also a founder of two other successful start-up IT companies. In 2016, Marcel was admitted as a Fellow into the Faculty of Sciences of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australiasia and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
