Biography
Dr. Steiner directs strategy and commercial/technical partnerships that leverage Synthego’s platform technologies in genome engineering, machine learning, and automation engineering to accelerate life science research and discovery applications. Prior to Synthego, Dr. Steiner spent several years in the clinical genomics space commercializing liquid biopsy technologies and applications in both reproductive genetics and oncology. Dr. Steiner holds a doctoral degree in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego where his research focused on the development of nanoparticle delivery systems for therapeutic and diagnostic payloads to tumors. His commercial experience spans developing markets, launching and selling products across four continents, and building and exponentially scaling commercial organizations across marketing, product development, sales, and business development. Dr. Steiner has served as the CEO of a non-profit entity that trains and funds aspiring entrepreneurs, has spent several years traveling and writing about world affairs and regularly writes on science, business and entrepreneurship.
