Biography
At nference, Agustin leads product development, business development and marketing. nference is an AI software company out of MIT/Harvard that synthesizes the world’s biomedical knowledge. nference has R&D collaborations with Big Pharma – that are powered by its software platform nferX – in the areas of drug discovery, development and personalized medicine. nference also has a joint venture with the Mayo Clinic (called Qrativ) focused on drug repurposing. Previously, Agustin was Head of Innovation, Advanced Analytics and Market Intelligence at Shire. Agustin is a co-founder and was the founding CEO of SQZ Biotech, a cell therapy start-up out of research conducted by Dr. Armon Sharei, Prof. Bob Langer and Prof. Klavs Jensen at MIT. SQZ Biotech’s technology – CellSqueeze – was selected as one of the ten world changing ideas in 2014 by Scientific American.
