Biography
Dr. Tod Klingler is the Chief Architect for Diagnostics Information Solutions at Roche. Dr Klingler joined Roche after it acquired Station X, where he was founder and CSO, in February 2018. At Station X, Dr Klingler let the research and development efforts for GenePool—a commercial software platform for managing, analyzing and visualizing genomic data. From 2004 to 2010, Dr Klingler was Vice President of Informatics Sciences at XDx (now CareDx) where he helped develop the AlloMap test—a multi-gene, expression-based diagnostic for transplant recipients. Dr Klingler also founded a company that developed a large-scale computational effort to explore protein-chemical interactions, advised numerous biotechnology start-ups, authored peer-reviewed papers, is an inventor on 10 patents, and has given invited talks. Dr. Klingler holds a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University.

Integrating And Presenting Patient Data For Personalized Cancer Healthcare
Medicine has become an information business, driven by data from new technologies, especially genomics and imaging, as well as from new sources, like wearables and IoT. Accordingly, excellence in patient care, especially for complex diseases, requires integrating, processing and presenting these data to care-giver teams. Roche is aggressively entering this field, by leveraging its breadth and depth of medical and technical expertise, to develop and commercialize the NAVIFY Decision Support portfolio of workflow and decision support software products. The NAVIFY Tumor Board workflow solution, the first NAVIFY product, collects and combines patient data integrated from multiple silos of in treatment center, including EMR and pathology, and presents them in a single dashboard so cross-functional oncology care teams can review and agree on optimal treatment plan for patients. This presentations will give an overview of the new information challenges in clinical decision-making, and use the NAVIFY Tumor Board as an example of solutions that will become more prevalent across medicine.
