Biography
Shelly Schuster is President of Keck Graduate Institute. Formerly Assistant Vice President for Research and Graduate Education, University of Florida, 2002-03, he was director of the UF Biotechnology Program, 1992-2002; director of Interdisciplinary Center for Biotechnology Research, 1989-1992; and professor of biochemistry and molecular biology, 1989-2003. Before moving to the University of Florida, he was professor of Chemistry and Biological Sciences at the University of Nebraska. Dr. Schuster is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He is on the Board of Directors, National Organization of Rare Disorders (NORD) and on the Board of Directors, Pasadena Bioscience Collaborative. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona, 1974 and his B.A. in Biochemistry from UC Davis, 1970.
