Biography
Dr. Prahlad Ram is a co-founder and chief scientific advisor for APT Life Sciences. APT Life Sciences is a Bangalore, India based privately-held early-stage life science company with the principal goal of providing a robust and secure computational platform for decoding and interpreting cancer patients whole genome RNA expression to inform personalized therapeutic options for treatment. Dr. Ram is also currently Associate Professor (tenured) in the Department of Systems Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Director of the Quantitative Sciences Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Ram received his post-doctoral training in cancer systems biology at Mount Sinai School of Medcine, NY. He received his PhD from Tulane University and his BA from Rutgers University.
