Biography
Benjamin G. Vincent, MD is Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, Faculty Member in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, and Faculty Director of The Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Immunogenomics Facility at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). The goals of his research are to understand the immunobiology of cancer using immunogenomics and cellular immunology tools, and to translate that understanding into improved immunotherapy strategies. He recently served as co-chair of The Cancer Genome Atlas Immune Response Working Group along with Vesteinn Thorsson and Ilya Shmulevich of the Institute for Systems Biology in Seattle WA, and he is currently leading efforts in immunogenomics biomarker development and therapeutic neoantigen vaccination at UNC.

Insights on Neoantigen Vaccination from Preclinical Models
Syngeneic adoptive transfer models allow studies of therapeutic neoantigen vaccine efficacy and biological mechanisms while controlling for underlying genetic and demographic variation in human trials. This talk will explore insights into therapeutic neoantigen vaccination gained in melanoma, breast cancer, and bladder cancer preclinical models.
