Biography
Dr. Whittington is a health economic and outcomes researcher with expertise in applying economic evaluation methodologies to identify efficient healthcare interventions to improve the value of healthcare delivered. She has applied decision analytic modeling to estimate the cost-effectiveness and long-term value of CAR-T therapy and has published her work in top-tier clinical journals, including JAMA: Pediatrics, JAMA: Oncology, JAMA: Network Open, and Journal of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Whittington is a leader in the United States’ value assessment landscape by applying traditional value assessment methodologies to newly approved health technologies. She is also now dedicated to applying and testing novel value assessment methodologies, such as multiple criteria decision analysis, as a founding investigator of pValue at the University of Colorado.

CAR-T Value Evidence And Uncertainties
This talk will present the evidence around the cost-effectiveness and value of CAR-T therapy. Corresponding uncertainties in the evidence will also be discussed. The talk will conclude with the presentation of current payment challenges and potential solutions that account for the uncertainty in the evidence but can reward the innovation.
