Biography
Kai Pinkernell is SVP Medical Affairs, CMO, at Medigene AG, a publicly listed (Frankfurt: MDG1, prime standard) biotechnology company headquartered in Martinsried, Germany. He is responsible for clinical-, regulatory affairs and GMP process development. Previously, Dr. Pinkernell held leadership positions with Miltenyi Biotec GmbH and Cytori Therapeutics Inc in basic and clinical research as well as sales and marketing. He received training and worked at the German Heart Center/Klinikum Rechts der Isar, in Munich, Germany and at Tulane University, New Orleans, USA. Dr. Pinkernell received his medical degree from the WWU in Muenster, Germany, and a Master of Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business at USC, Los Angeles, USA.
