Biography

Gabe is the CEO of Freenome, a health technology company on a mission to empower everyone with the tools they need to prevent, detect, and treat their diseases, such as cancer. The company has raised over $77M towards this mission from investors like Andreessen Horowitz, Verily (formerly Google Life Sciences), Google Ventures, Polaris Partners, Founders Fund, Section 32, and Anne Wojcicki. Gabe has extensive experience in both tech and biotech, applying the fusion of both fields to help enable Freenome’s mission. As a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania, he focused his research on chromatin biology and epigenetics of aging and age-associated diseases. He earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry and computational biology from Cornell University. He has also worked at companies like Apple, Tumblr, and Glyde as a software engineer. Gabe’s work has been recognized by several publications and groups including TEDMED and Forbes 30 Under 30 in Healthcare.
