Biography
Responsible for assuring medical impact, new opportunity assessment including CDx, research and professional collaborations for the company’s portfolio of precision medicine platforms. These include primary care pharmacogenomics, pharmacogenomics for supportive care in cancer, liquid biopsy and consumer initiated medical testing for inherited diseases hosted on the Helix/Illumina platform. Holding previous global leadership roles at Becton Dickinson, he brought four product platforms from concept though FDA clearance. He is a co-founder of Filament BioSolutions, a medical nutrition company and served as National Immunization Advisor in Indonesia for USAID. His professional training includes earning his BA in Economics from Stanford, MD at UCSF, MPH from Columbia with post-graduate medical residency at Mount Sinai, NY and Cornell. He served as an AAAS Science, Engineering and Policy Fellow and is a Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine and American Academy of Pediatrics.
