Biography

Sharief Taraman, M.D. is the Vice President of Medical at Cognoa, Inc., a startup utilizing artificial intelligence machine learning to diagnose and treat neurobehavioral disorders, specifically autism. Dr. Taraman is also the Assistant Division Chief of the CHOC Children’s Specialists Pediatric Neurology Division and a Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Dr. Taraman is board certified in Neurology with special qualifications in child neurology from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as in Clinical Informatics from the American Board of Preventative Medicine. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Michigan having majored in Biochemistry. He completed his medical education at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2006 and went on to complete residency training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Neurology at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.
